Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

Effective 18 September 2026

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ICE32 Limited, the company behind Rarely Impossible ("we", "us", "our"), handles information in our mobile apps (the "Apps"), including Ringside, and on rarelyimpossible.com (the "Website"). Privacy is a founding principle for us, not a feature. Our Apps are designed to work without collecting anything about you.

Who we are

Rarely Impossible is run by ICE32 Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07046272). Registered office: Platinum House, 23 Hinton Road, Bournemouth, BH1 2EF, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law, ICE32 Limited is the data controller for any personal data covered by this policy. As explained below, that is very little.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect personal data through our Apps. Specifically, we do not:

  • require you to create an account or give us your name, email address or phone number;
  • use analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting or attribution services that identify you;
  • include advertising networks or advertising identifiers (IDFA);
  • track you across other companies' apps or websites;
  • collect your location, contacts, photos, health data or other device data for our own use;
  • sell, rent, share or trade any data about you.

2. Data stored on your device

Settings, presets and anything else you create in an App are stored locally on your device. We cannot access them. If you use iCloud, iCloud sync or device backups, Apple may store copies of that data under Apple's Privacy Policy. Deleting an App removes its local data from your device.

3. Device permissions

Some Apps may ask for device permissions, such as notifications or microphone access, when a feature needs them. Permissions are only used on your device for the feature you're using. We never use them to collect data. You can change permissions at any time in your device Settings.

4. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple gives us standard, aggregated sales reports that do not identify you personally.

5. Apple-provided diagnostics

If you choose to share diagnostics and usage data with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us anonymised crash reports. That sharing is controlled entirely by you and Apple, and you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

6. Contacting us

If you email us, we will use your email address and message only to reply to you. We don't add you to mailing lists, and we delete support correspondence once it's no longer needed.

7. This Website

The Website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which will see your IP address when fonts are requested. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) for a short period for security and reliability.

8. Children

Our Apps do not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live).

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because we don't hold personal data from our Apps, there is usually nothing for us to return or delete. You can still contact us at any time and we will respond.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. If an App ever changes the way it handles data in a meaningful way, we will say so clearly in the App Store release notes before it applies.

AI features & your own API keys

Some of our Apps may offer optional AI-powered features. These features follow a "bring your own key" model, so we never sit between you and the AI provider.

  • Optional. AI features are always off until you turn them on. Every App works fully without them.
  • Your key, your account. You connect an API key from a provider you choose, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or a compatible or self-hosted endpoint.
  • Stored securely on your device. Your API key is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. It is never sent to us.
  • Direct connection. When you use an AI feature, the App sends your request straight from your device to the provider's API. Rarely Impossible has no servers in between, and we never see, log or store your prompts, content or responses.
  • The provider's terms apply. Whatever you send to an AI provider is handled under that provider's terms and privacy policy. Please review them, including how they retain data and whether they use it for training.
  • Costs. Any usage charges from the provider are billed to your account with that provider. You're responsible for them and for keeping your key secure.
  • Remove any time. You can delete your key from within the App at any time. Deleting the App also removes it.

Terms of Use

These Terms are between you and ICE32 Limited (company number 07046272, registered in England and Wales), which publishes the Apps as Rarely Impossible. By downloading or using our Apps or Website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

1. Licence

Apps bought through the App Store are licensed, not sold, to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA wins.

2. One-time purchase

Our Apps are sold for a single, one-time price. There are no subscriptions. Updates to an App you've bought are provided at no extra cost. If we ever offer an optional extra, it will be clearly labelled, and nothing you have already paid for will be taken away.

3. Refunds

All payments and refunds are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Apps, for example by reverse-engineering them (except where the law allows), using them for anything unlawful, or trying to interfere with them.

5. Third-party services

If you connect a third-party service, such as an AI provider using your own API key, your use of that service is governed by that provider's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their costs, or the content they produce. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, so please use your own judgement before relying on it.

6. Health and fitness

Fitness apps such as Ringside are training aids. They are not medical, coaching or safety advice. Combat sports and high-intensity training carry a risk of injury. Train within your limits, use proper supervision and equipment, and talk to a qualified professional if you're unsure.

7. Disclaimer

We work hard to make our Apps reliable, but they are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ICE32 Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the Apps or Website. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post changes here with a new effective date. If you keep using the Apps after that, you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings there.

11. Apple

These Terms are between you and Rarely Impossible, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Apps or their content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for them.
